Robert Lewis Joins SNAPin Software as President and CEO

Former AT&T Wireless executive brings mobile operator and
international business expertise to emerging self-service software
provider
Bellevue WA, 13 June 2005 - SNAPin™, the
first company to deliver self-service software for mobile phones,
today announced the appointment of Robert Lewis as President and
CEO. Lewis takes over as president and CEO from SNAPin’s founder
and CTO, Brian Roundtree, who had been acting in the roles since
the company’s inception. Lewis comes to SNAPin with an extensive
wireless background after spending 18 years as an executive at McCaw
Cellular/AT&T Wireless, where as senior vice president, he managed
the company’s $3+ billion international joint venture portfolio
across three continents.
“Not many executives have both sold $2000 cell phones and
closed $2 Billion in deals,” said Brian Roundtree, SNAPin
founder and CTO. “Bob is just the right person to lead SNAPin
through our current field trials and into commercial deployments.”
During his tenure at McCaw Cellular / AT&T Wireless, Lewis
earned significant international wireless business expertise by
sitting on the boards of six mobile operators in Europe, Asia and
South America, including serving as Chairman for two of the firms.
Starting as one of the first 100 employees at McCaw Cellular, Lewis
was previously vice president of the company’s Western Region,
where he was responsible for sales, marketing, distribution, and
customer services.
